Car flips and lands on roof after crashing on Cardiff street

A car was left on its roof after crashing on a residential street in Cardiff.

The VW ended up upside down after the smash on Channel View Road on Thursday night.

South Wales Police said the car hit two others before coming to a stop.

Pictures from the scene show debris across the street and a number of onlookers.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "The 29 year-old male driver was taken to the University Hospital of Wales as a precaution.

"The matter remains under investigation and South Wales Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the manner in which the car was being driven immediately before the collision is asked to call 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 and quote reference 2000104665."
