A car flipped and landed on its roof following a collision with a van. The incident happened on the A473 Coychurch Road in Bridgend just after midday on Saturday.
A spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the incident at 12.28pm. Crews from Bridgend and Pencoed attended the incident.
She said the collision near Duffryn Close in Coychurch involved a car and a van. An eyewitness said the collision looked "bad" and reported seeing police, fire and ambulance crews at the scene.
Emergency services remained at the scene more than an hour after receiving the 999 call.
The A473 Coychurch Road in Bridgend was partially blocked eastbound and traffic was heavy in the area.
