Car flipped on roof after colliding with parked vehicle in busy high street

A car has been left on its roof in the middle of a busy high street after colliding with a parked car.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5pm today (May 23) after a car hit a parked vehicle in Tottington Road, near the Swan Hotel.

A white Volkswagen was left on its roof after the collision.

Three people are believed to have been travelling the car before it crashed into the parked vehicle.

But there were no injuries, said firefighters who attended the scene.

One firefighter from Bury fire station said: "We were called to the scene at around 5pm.

"A car hit a parked car. One of the cars ended up on its roof.

"Everyone got out fine and everyone is OK. The fire service arrived but we were sent home as we were not needed.

"The ambulance service were happy with everyone. Two people left the scene and one remained to speak to the emergency services.

"Police closed the road and have been organising the recovery of the car."
