Emergency services were quick to cordon off James Street, Maitland this morning when a small car caught on fire.
Michael John Fisher captured these images from the scene outside Maitland PCYC about 10.30am Tuesday.

He said the fire to the Toyota Corolla was swiftly extinguished based on the quick response from Maitland Fire and Rescue NSW.
Crews from East Maitland 343 and Maitland 374 extinguished the blaze.
A spokesperson for Fire and Rescue NSW said the car is believed to have stalled coming out of a car park opposite the PCYC.
"The driver tried to restart the car which caused an under bonnet fire and the vehicle was totally destroyed," the spokesperson said.
"The female driver escaped uninjured."
