A car ended up facing the wrong way on the M62, causing motorway traffic to be held.
At around 8.50pm on Monday, police were called to a report of a road traffic incident on junction 6 of the M62 westbound near Huyton.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a Fiat Panda facing the wrong way on a lane in the motorway.

North West Motorway Police held traffic between junction 6 and junction 5 on the M62 westbound as they dealt with incident.
However, as officers attended the scene they also found lane three of the motorway completely flooded.
Police said they would release traffic once this was "coned out" but only lane one would be open.
A spokesperson for North West Motorway Police tweeted: "Folks we have traffic held between J6 and J5 on the M62 Westbound due to an RTC.
"Lane three is completely flooded so once we have coned out we will release traffic but only lane one will be open.
"Please be patient."
After nearly three hours, officers reopened the whole motorway.
It is understood there were no injuries following the incident.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "At around 8.50pm on Monday, December 13 officers were called to a report of a road traffic incident on junction 6 of the M62 in Huyton.
"A Fiat Panda was facing the wrong way on a lane in the motorway.
"No one was injured during the incident."
