A driver has had a miraculous escape after crashing off the M61 today.
Police shared an image of the car, which appears to be on its side, off the side of the motorway after it went off the road.
Incredibly, nobody was injured in the collision, which happened on the northbound carriageway between junctions 1 and 2, near Clifton.
North West Motorway Police tweeted an image of the crash, saying: "Please slow down.
"GMP Traffic #ME54 on scene - the driver has been very lucky.
"Left the motorway M61 J1 to J2 northbound - thankfully no injuries.
"Please drive to the conditions. Let's all get home safely."
