Car ends up on its roof after tumbling off sea wall at East Lothian beach

A car ended up on its roof after tumbling off a sea wall at an East Lothian beach at the weekend.

The incident, which happened at East Beach in Dunbar on Sunday morning, was caused by a suspected handbrake failure.

Police and recovery teams were called to attend following the incident, which is believed to have happened some time between 11am and midday.

One eyewitness said that two men and two boys who had been in the car were birdwatching at the beach.

They hadn't long been parked at the other side of the road when the car rolled down the street and off the sea wall.

Thankfully there were not believed to have been any injuries, and the car was removed from the beach by recovery teams within an hour of the incident.
