Car drives into trolleys outside Beeston Sainsbury's as fire service called

A car has been driven into a line of trolleys outside of a supermarket in Nottingham. Shortly before 1pm on Saturday, June 24, a car drove into a number of shopping trolleys in front of a Sainsbury's store in Beeston.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue responded to the incident, which took place at the supermarket off Stoney Street. The emergency services received reports of the incident at 12:51pm.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue stated: "It was just a minor incident in the car park." They described the incident as "a minor crash."

A fire engine attended the scene, and a cordon was put in place around the car. A spokesperson for Sainsbury's added: "We are aware of a very minor incident at our Beeston store earlier today, the fire brigade attended the scene as a precautionary measure.

"Store and car park are open as normal."
