Car crushed in two-vehicle crash outside Tennents Brewery on Duke Street

A car was badly damaged following a two-vehicle crash in Glasgow's east end.

Police rushed to the Tennents Brewery on Duke Street yesterday evening at around 5.25pm after the alarm was raised, the Daily Record reports.

On arrival at the scene the front of a car was completely crushed, with debris lying on the road and the bumper detached from the car.

Despite the extent of the damage, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash to either the driver or the passenger.

Both cars are expected to be written off.

They were were removed from the main road at around 7pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Wednesday, 7 April, officers were called to Duke Street, Glasgow, following a report of a two-car crash.

"There were no serious injuries and the cars were recovered around 7pm.”
