Avon and Somerset Constabulary has issued a statement after a crash this morning closed the A4174 Airport Road.
A spokesperson for the police said: "At just before 5.30am today, officers saw a vehicle being driven erratically in the Airport Road area of Bristol.
"The car failed to stop for the officers and a short time later it was in collision with a wall.
"The driver was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be serious or life-threatening.
"Enquiries are being carried out at the scene and the road is currently closed."
It's not known when the road will reopen, but cars and buses are being diverted away from the road.
The A4 bus route is being diverted away from the area. So the advice is to check before you travel this morning, particularly if you're travelling through Hengrove.
