A car has driven into a house in East Dumbartonshire.
closed off a section of Woodilee Road in Kirkintilloch after the horror incident on Monday night.
The car careered off the road an into the property close to the Old Gatehouse bar and restaurant.
Police say that the driver escaped the vehicle before it drove into the house.
Officers remain on the scene.
It's believed that nobody inside the house was injured.
A spokesman from Police Scotland told the Record: "A car has driven into a house on Woodilee Road, Kirkintilloch after coming off the road.
"The driver managed to get out of the car before it hit the house.
"Nobody who was in the house is believed to have been injured.
"The road has been closed and officers remain on the scene."
