Car crashes into Angela Merkel's Berlin office gate with "child killers" graffiti on side

A car has crashed into the gate of German chancellor Angela Merkel's office in Berlin, scrawled in graffiti.

Pictures on social media showed the words "You damn killers of children and old people" written on one side of the vehicle in German.

One the other "Stop Globalisation Politics" was sprayed in white pain.

According to the Bild newspaper in Germany, the same car crashed into the building back in 2014.

At that time, one side of the VW station wagon said: "No more human-killing climate change" and on the other: "Nicole, I love you", Bild reports.

Mrs Merkel was scheduled to be hosting a video conference of German state premiers on Wednesday morning, to discuss a lockdown extension and further steps to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
