Car crashes into front of shop on main Nottingham road

A car has crashed into a vape shop off a main road in Nottingham. A white Volkswagen went through the window of Rustic Vapez in Mansfield Road, Sherwood, at 5.30pm on Friday, October 14.

Photos from the scene show the damaged vehicle partly inside the business, which also operates as a vape lounge. The entirety of the shop's front window appears smashed through.

A crowd can be seen gathered at the scene opposite the Samuel Hall Wetherspoon pub. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson confirmed nobody was injured in the incident.

Inspector Abigail Goucher, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. We’d urge anyone who witnessed the crash or the events leading up to it to please get in touch. We’d also like to hear from anyone who may have captured CCTV or dash-cam footage relating to the incident.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 620 of 14 October 2022.
