Car crashes into bus after being driven wrong way round one-way system in Porth

A man had to be treated in hospital after driving the wrong way round one-way system in Porth and crashing into a bus.

South Wales Police has confirmed it is investigating after the incident on Saturday, May 8 at 12.15pm.

A police spokeswoman said: "South Wales Police is investigating a road traffic collision in Porth at around 12.15pm today.

"A blue Ford Fiesta driving the wrong way down a one-way system collided with a bus.

"The driver of the car – a 32-year-old man from Cardiff – was taken to hospital with facial injuries.

"His injuries are neither life-threatening nor life-changing".

Traffic was at a standstill in the area for a number of hours and the junction where the incident took place had to be cordoned off. Police vehicles remained in the area until around 5pm.
