The driver of a car which flipped over in a horror smash in Bolton last night fled the scene — to call his lawyer.
Police say they attended the collision on Coe Street, in the Burnden area of the town, on the evening of Thursday, September 17.
When they arrived, they discovered an Audi had flipped onto its roof — but the driver was nowhere to be seen.

In the aftermath, it was established the driver had left the collision site to make a phone call to his solicitor, Greater Manchester Police’s Traffic division said online.
“One from last night,” the social media post they shared said.
“[A] road traffic collision [on] Coe Street, Bolton. When [the officer] attended, the driver of the Audi had fled the scene.
“Funnily enough he thought it was better to ring his solicitor to report the incident... we will be having a conversation under caution with him soon!”
The photo accompanying the post showed the Audi car flipped onto its roof, with badly damaged panels and a smashed window.
