Car crash in Adelaide CBD leaves motorist, pedestrians seriously injured

The intersection of Pulteney and Rundle Streets remains closed off.

A motorist has been hurt and four other people have been seriously injured in a car crash in the Adelaide CBD on Saturday afternoon.

Just after 4:00pm emergency services were called to the intersection of Pulteney and Rundle Streets.

The driver of the car, a passenger and three female pedestrians were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre.

One of the injured pedestrians was an 80-year-old woman.

The busy intersection remains closed off, while investigators try to work out what caused the accident.
