Car covered in passive-aggressive notes as parking dispute descends into chaos

A parking dispute has escalated to farce with numerous passive-aggressive notes being stuck to a car.

A neighbour is accused of buying a car and trailer just so they could block others from finding a parking space in a typed-out sign by a frustrated local on Sydney's Northern Beaches in Australia.

But that wasn’t the last note left on the Toyota - three others followed and one joked about the whole farce.

And it didn’t end there as the debate continued to rage on the neighbourhood's community Facebook page.

The first note said: “Buying a trailer and car solely to block others from parking at the right of your driveway is inconsiderate - you have a double garage plus an empty car space.”

The neighbourhood parking dispute escalated to comical levels with the car being covered in notes (Facebook)

It went on: “This is a public road with a shortage of parking. If everybody acted the same there would be nowhere to park.”

The writer was soon backed up by another neighbour.

In a handwritten follow-up in capital letters, it read: “Agreed! You try driving around looking for parking after a long day at work.”

A third resident added: “We agree! It would be great if we all work together as neighbours to make it easier for everyone to park close to their home.”

A fourth note-writer joked: “Just here for the drama.”

The hilarious troll also drew a steaming cup of coffee to rub it in further.

The debate then raged on the Facebook community page for Narrabeen, Elanora and Ingleside with residents sharing their stories of parking woe.

One woman claimed her neighbours placed cones in front of his house to claim his spot.

She said: “It doesn’t effect us, it’s across the road, but who does that?”

While another said she got an unhinged reaction when she parked in front of someone else's house.

She explained: “We had our tyres let down, our cars covered in wet sand, I got parked in, all if we dared to park in front of other peoples houses on the street - which isn’t even illegal?

“When I got parked in I had to go ask the woman to let me out and she lectured me on ‘how dare I’ park in front of her house.”
