Car comes within inches of crashing into house after multi-vehicle collision

A multi-vehicle accident saw a car almost crash into a house in Westhoughton last night.

Fire crews were called to reports of a collision on Chorley Road at around 9.50pm.

No one is believed to have been seriously hurt in the accident, which involved three cars.

Pictures of the aftermath appear to show a car on top of the pavement close to a residential home.

A witness, who was on the scene seconds after hearing a “loud bang”, said the vehicle had almost crashed through the window as a result of the collision.
