Car collides with lampost in Ilkeston Market Place

Police were left stunned after a car crashed into a lampost in a town's pedestrianised Market Place.

Erewash Response shared a photo of the damaged blue Renault which had crashed in Ilkeston.

They tweeted on June 4: "#Ilkeston - Market Place. Just when you think you’ve seen it all. #DriveToArrive #Fatal4."

Derbyshire police and East Midlands Ambulance were called to the scene of the incident.
