Car blocks NET tram tracks as services disrupted

The tram network suffered early morning disruption after a car got stuck on the tracks at Beeston.

NET tweeted just before 6am on Wednesday May 5: "Due to a car blocking the tracks we have no Trams between Beeston to Cator Lane. Trams from Toton Lane will run to Cator Lane and then turn back to Toton Lane.

"Trams from Nottingham Station running to Beeston and then turning back to the Station. Apologies for the inconvenience."

The transport company later updated its website on Wednesday morning to say the incident had been cleared.

Meanwhile, there are further disruptions on the network due to track works until May 10 with the Lace Market tram stop closed.

Trams are terminating at the Royal Centre from Hucknall/ Phoenix Park.

Trams from Toton Lane/ Clifton South will terminate at the Nottingham Station stop.

There is a bus replacement service available between the Royal Centre and Nottingham Station.
