Car blocks Adelaide O-Bahn tracks for second time in two weeks

The car stuck on the O-Bahn tracks this morning.

Adelaide's busiest bus route has reopened after a car became stuck on the O-Bahn tracks early this morning.

It is the second time in a fortnight a car has blocked the O-Bahn near Paradise.

The Volkswagen Golf became stuck on the guided busway at Darley Road, just north of Paradise Interchange, about 4:00am.

A tow truck removed the hatchback about 7:20am.

Bus services resumed about 8:00am after using regular roads instead of the O-Bahn for more than two hours, causing traffic issues as hundreds of extra buses took to North East Road.

The car's 21-year-old Prospect driver sustained minor injuries in the crash near Darley Road.

Police said he "seemed dazed and was taken to hospital as a precaution".

On August 11, a drink-driver got his SUV stuck on O-Bahn tracks near Church Road in Campbelltown.

When tested, the 44-year-old man from Windsor Gardens driving the car recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.148.
