A serious car fire has closed a country road in Ayrshire tonight.
Pictures of the vehicle ablaze have emerged online, with the car on fire on the A70 between Coalhall and Cumnock.
Police are currently on scene stopping traffic from leaving the nearby village of Coylton.
Traffic is also being prevented from travelling in the opposite direction.
Fire crews are currently en route to the scene.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
