Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash on the Portway this afternoon (December 28).
Police officers and ambulance crews arrived at the smash, which took place just before Bridge Valley Road, at around 2.30pm today.
Pictures taken from the scene by a passing driver show a badly-damaged car in the middle of the road as officers attended the incident.
It caused traffic to back up for a short while before motorists were allowed to pass in the bus lane.
Congestion has now cleared.
South Western Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
