Car Audio Centre set to join Alfreton Road’s Hi-Fi revolution

A Nottingham car entertainment shop has confirmed its relocation to Alfreton Road.

Car Audio Centre is one of three specialists across the country. It also has a concession in Lincoln through Superfi.

There will be three new jobs created at the larger Alfreton Road shop.

The new store will take a unit next to Superfi Smart Homes and connect internally to Nottingham Hi-Fi.

Nottingham Hi-Fi re-opened in June 2019 after a takeover by Nottingham group In Phase International.

Superfi received a major £100,000+ investment since its reopening and sales have soared since as the store hosted rappers D-Block Europe last year.

Gary Digva, Sales Director at In Phase International, said:

“We’re pleased to announce that we will be bringing Car Audio Centre closer to the city centre and into what is now a central hub for all things hi-fi on Alfreton Road.

"Whilst the high street continues to struggle, we’ve actually seen a big rise in both online and offline sales due in part to larger numbers of people planning ‘Staycations’ and spending more time in their cars.

“As such, they are investing in new technology to improve their driving experience, be it speed awareness monitoring devices from Road Angel or simply wanting to add that boost of bass, surround sound or in-car entertainment.

"That can only be achieved through a high quality system and expert advice, which is what we can provide online and in person, so we are pleased to be creating jobs at our new site to do just that.

“We are creating a one-stop shop for your home and car audio needs by connecting all three premises up internally and expect to become a real hive of activity for all sound, vision and tech fans.”

Following Superfi's £250,000 refurbishment, the new store will include a cinema in a state-of-the-art showroom.

It will also sell white goods and high-end domestic appliances.

The new showroom is scheduled to open in August.
