Yesterday, George Osborne delivered his conference speech to a Manchester hall packed with the Tory faithful. The chancellor of the exchequer unveiled his plans for a “devolution revolution”, tax credit cuts and his love for American hip-hop group NWA. But on social media people didn’t seem to care too much about these details. Instead, they have all been focusing on what’s happening in this picture.
What is going on here? Has someone told him to stand like this? Why?
Is this George Osborne’s knee-jerk reaction to being told to “act natural”? Or is there something more unexpected going on?
