Watermelon is looking to be the flavour of the summer this year as it makes an appearance across a variety of brands.
And Captain Morgan have certainly noticed, with their own take on the flavour growing in popularity.
Watermelon Smash comes in a 75cl bottle intended to look like the fruit it's inspired by, with the red fruit visible in the cracks where it has 'smashed'.
At 25% the rum isn't the strongest one on the market, but with it tasting of 'sweet watermelon' it would definitely make for an interesting shot at your next (safe) gathering.
It's described as having quite a strong sweet flavour, with it apparently working well when diluted with soda water and a lemon and lime flavoured soft drink.
Captain Morgan are known for their more classic rums, with them having white, dark, golden spiced and a tiki option.
We're curious to see if this one is as good as it sounds, and with the growing waitlist on The Bottle Club we're inclined to believe it might be.
Whether as a straight shot, with a mixer or as part of a cocktail this one will definitely one to try.
