Captain Lee says it's 'good to be back' on Below Deck after health related absence

Captain Lee Rosbach has said it's "good to be back" as he returns to Below Deck, following a short absence due to health issues.

The 73-year-old was forced to bid an emotional goodbye to his crew in season 10 to deal with ongoing health issues and it was rumoured that he wouldn't return for season 11.

However, he's now back onboard the boat and it seems he's never been happier.

Taking to Twitter, one fan shared their excitement at Captain Lee's return, writing: "Good to see you back in action Cap!"

The Bravo star replied: "Hell yeah, good to be back. Thank you."

Another fan also offered their well-wishes, with the Captain replying: "I'm doing b****y well, thank you."

Captain Lee announced his return to the show after just over one season away last week and thanked fans for their kind messages.

"Ok, I'll be back next week, can't wait to get back, feels good, no, feels great. Same drill, gym in the am and to anyone I have missed, catch you on the flip side.

"Your outpouring of support is amazing, thank you so very much. I am touched. Thank you so very much," he tweeted.

Captain Lee was forced to leave the show in season 10 after "struggling with my mobility".

He had been forced to use crutches ahead of his exit due to severe nerve damage caused after undergoing back surgery.

Speaking about his departure on the show, he told his crew: "I'm gonna go back to the States, get this straightened out and as soon as I do, I'll be on the first plane back here and tell whoever's on board to get the f**k off my boat," he told his co-stars as he broke the news of his departure.

"As you guys know I've been struggling with my mobility, and it's been hard and I've let you guys down and for that, I apologise.

"So I've made a decision to leave the boat."
