Caps confirmed as third League of Legends Hall of Legends inductee

Riot Games has confirmed Rasmus “Caps” Winther as the third player inducted into the League of Legends Hall of Legends, making the G2 Esports mid laner the first Western player to get there, after Faker in 2024 and Uzi in 2025.

Hall of Legends assets added to the League PBE earlier this week already spoiled the 2026 inductee ahead of schedule, so Riot had to make an official announcement soon after. Possibly, they even intended to announce all this later, but the leak forced their hand.

The same leak revealed that Tristana will be receiving the Immortalized Legend skin. Caps himself is now officially confirmed, though Riot still hasn’t announced the complete skin and cosmetic lineup.

Caps will collect his Hall of Legends trophy at a ceremony in Berlin on Aug. 18, with his dedicated website opening Aug. 24 and the in-game event following on Sept. 10. That event brings a pass built around moments from his career and a collection of cosmetics connected to him, with the rest of the details still to come. Faker and Uzi had similar passes, so we have an idea how it all works.

Riot also released a trailer announcing Caps as the latest inductee, alongside a full Hall of Legends film scheduled for Sept. 10. The film covers his career and his place in European League, where he’s been the central player on most of the region’s strongest international teams over the past decade.

Hall of Legends candidates have to have competed at the Tier 1 level for at least five cumulative years to be considered at all. Riot employees across the major regions nominate around 20 eligible players, and an independent panel of 50 esports veterans then votes on them using criteria including international appearances, regional and international titles, role-specific statistics, and contributions to competitive League.

Inductees receive a trophy alongside their in-game event, pass, and cosmetic collection. The selected player also takes a share of the revenue generated through Hall of Legends passes and bundles, split with their current and former teams.

Caps now joins Faker and Uzi as the only three players inducted since Riot launched the Hall of Legends in 2024. More information on his skins, bundles, pass rewards, and pricing is expected before the in-game celebration begins on Sept. 10.
