Caprice ‘slams ITV bosses for siding with Dancing On Ice partner Hamish over bullying claims'

Caprice Bourret has reportedly slammed ITV bosses for “siding” with her Dancing On Ice partner Hamish after she quit the show over bullying claims.

The 48-year-old model has pulled out of the competition and said that her "mental wellbeing had been affected".

Caprice sparked controversy last month after splitting from professional partner Hamish Gaman and was partnered with new pro Oscar Peter.

However Caprice and Oscar appeared to have been booed off the ice by the crowd last week after skating together for the first time and landed in the bottom two.

Hamish was forced to deny that he had "gaslighted" Caprice, who complained to producers that he was pushing her "beyond her capabilities".

Since quitting the show, Caprice’s pal has reportedly told The Sun that bosses sided with her pro partner Hamish Gaman from whom she split after just two weeks.

The US model’s friend said Caprice felt the atmosphere at Dancing On Ice was “isolating and nasty”, before slamming ITV.

A pal told the publication: “Caprice felt she had no option but to quit after feeling bullied and sidelined. She’s distraught.”

The friend went on to say the skating star felt ITV had “completely mishandled” the situation and accused them on “siding with Hamish”.

“They have provided her with no counselling or after-care following the fall-out,” the friend alleged.

ITV bosses have denied the bullying claims.

An ITV spokeswoman told Mirror Online: “We take allegations of bullying very seriously but found no evidence on Dancing On Ice and we strongly refute any suggestion to the contrary.

“We’re very proud of the team, both on and off screen.

“They produce a fantastic show and we are committed to ensuring that everyone who works on the programme is fully supported before, during and after the series is on air.”

Earlier today, Caprice's rep told Mirror Online in a statement that it had been a "hard few months".

They added that Caprice would be taking time to recover and spend time with her family.
