Caprice left 'terrified' after burglars stole £40k of jewellery from her Ibiza home

Caprice Bourret has shared the horror she endured when she returned from an afternoon out to find her home had been robbed.

The 48-year-old Dancing On Ice star was left terrified and ashamed when she discovered tens of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery had been taken from her home – including an expensive watch belonging to a guest.

Caprice and her husband Ty Comfort, 54, along with their six-year-old sons Jett and Jax, had been hosting friends at their home in Ibiza when criminals struck.

Now Caprice says she is afraid her home isn’t as safe as she had always assumed – and reveals one of her sons refuses to sleep alone since the incident.

She told The Sun on Sunday: “It was absolutely terrifying for myself and my two sons. One won't sleep without us since the robbery and I keep waking up thinking a creak in the house during the night is another robbery.

“I feel like our private place has been breached and it's hard to feel safe any more.”

The model went on to explain how one of her three house guests was the first to uncover the crime.

“I remember getting in and something not being right. One of my guests went to their room and came out immediately and said, ‘My Rolex has gone?’ It had been next to the bed My heart sank. I realised we'd been robbed.

“My friends were devastated. I burst into tears. I felt so guilty, so invaded. I felt my sanctuary had been breached. It was terrible.”

The American star went on to theorise that the crime may have been an inside job, suspecting someone may have tipped off the robbers as to when the occupants would be out the home.

The family have been left rattled by the incident, other reports suggest.

A source told the MailOnline: “Caprice and family are a little shaken up after her Ibiza house was robbed in broad daylight.

“She has been coming to Ibiza with friends and family for the past 20 years and has never had any problems. It was her guests who were robbed and tens of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery was taken.”

Reports have suggested as much as £40,000 of goods were nicked from the property.
