Capri-Sun is making some changes and fans of the drink won't be happy

If you don't love a Capri-Sun, you've not really lived. It might sound harsh, but it's true. There is absolutely no reason why anybody wouldn't love them, and I won't have a bad word said about the drink.

You can imagine my disappointment, then, when it was revealed that a huge change is coming to the way in which Capri-Suns are packaged.

Don't worry, the pouch is staying the same and the straws aren't being replaced with soggy paper versions, but we are now getting less Capri-Suns in every multipack.

The multi-packs used to contain ten pouches, but now they only have eight inside. THE AUDACITY.

Speaking to The Grocer, a spokesperson for the CCEP said that the decision had been made as a result of changes to production costs.

The spokesperson also said the decision was made "to ensure that Capri-Sun remains affordable as possible, while providing the same high-quality ingredients that are at the heart of the Capri-Sun brand."

According to the CCEP, the smaller packs are now "aligned to the wider kids drinks segment and will continue to be clearly labelled and priced at the discretion of retailers."

It doesn't look like the smaller boxes mean they're cheaper though, as the mainstream UK supermarkets all appear to be selling them for a similar price to when the boxes contained ten drinks.

That's shrinkflation for you, I guess.
