Livingston-headquartered IT services firm Capito has appointed Mark Gibson as managing director.
Bringing more than 25 years of global senior management experience, the firm said that Gibson has built a reputation for being an innovative and entrepreneurial leader. He is to play key role in developing and executing the company's business strategy, particularly in operations and sales management.
Capito said appointment comes as the firm, which employs 38 people, is poised for a major nationwide expansion.
It said that integral to plans are further joint projects with key partners such as Microsoft, Pure Storage, HP and Citrix which have seen Capito expand its portfolio of clients. Clients include the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Harper Macleod, NHS Grampian, Baxters Food Group Limited, and the Scottish Prison Service.
Prior to joining Capito, Gibson held senior roles in several IT companies, including SAS/Memex. More recently, at BLOXX, he was responsible for driving business development, sales and strategic partner relationships on both sides of the Atlantic, which ultimately led to a sale to Akamai Technologies in November 2015.

Capito is privately owned with Murray Capital is its majority shareholder.
