Capcom has announced a major update on how players can purchase "Monster Hunter Wilds," introducing a permanent price reduction alongside a revamped lineup of editions and downloadable content.
Beginning August 4, 2026, the publisher will lower the game's suggested retail price and replace several existing editions with new value-focused bundles.
The changes are designed to simplify purchasing options for new players while making it easier for existing hunters to access the game's growing collection of cosmetic DLC.
'Monster Hunter Wilds' Deluxe and Premium Editions Will Be Discontinued
As part of the overhaul, Capcom confirmed that the "Monster Hunter Wilds" Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and the standalone Cosmetic DLC Pass will be removed from digital storefronts on August 4.
Players who already own these products will retain access to all of their content after the changes take effect.

Individual DLC packs included in the discontinued editions will also remain available for purchase separately.
'Monster Hunter Wilds' Gold Edition Replaces Older Bundles
Leading the new lineup is the "Monster Hunter Wilds" Gold Edition, a bundle that combines the base game with the complete Cosmetic DLC Collection.
For players who already own the standard edition, Capcom is also introducing the Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Collection. This package includes:
- Cosmetic DLC Packs 1 through 4
- Festival of Accord packs: Blossomdance, Flamefete, Dreamspell, and Lumenhymn
- Deluxe Pack
- Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack
The video game giant says the bundle is intended to provide a convenient way to obtain all major cosmetic content in a single purchase rather than buying each pack individually.
Capcom is also launching the Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack, which includes select premium cosmetic items that were previously sold only as standalone DLC.
Permanent Price Reduction Starts August 4
In addition to the new editions, "Monster Hunter Wilds" will receive a permanent MSRP reduction beginning August 4. While Capcom has not yet announced updated pricing for every region, the company confirmed the lower price will apply across digital storefronts.
In Japan, the standard edition will drop from ¥8,990 to ¥4,990, representing a reduction of roughly 45%, per IGN.
The lower price has been welcomed by many fans, particularly those who have been waiting for an opportunity to jump into the game after its launch.
Switch 2 Version Adds to the Momentum
The announcement follows Capcom's confirmation that "Monster Hunter Wilds" is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch 2. Although no release date has been announced, the upcoming port is expected to bring the game to a wider audience.
