Canterbury rape: Teenager 'raped in children's playground'

Detectives are investigating after a 15-year-old girl reported that she had been raped in a children's playground.

The teenager told police that the attack happened in the Toddler's Cove playground in Canterbury, Kent, just before midnight on Friday.

Police have cordoned off the crime scene.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Inquiries into the incident are currently ongoing."
