FAQs

Does Canon have free delivery?

All orders over £30 come with free delivery as standard, with orders under this threshold incurring a £3.99 shipping fee. Your order should arrive in 1 - 3 working days, unless you order before 2pm on a weekday, in which case you'll get next day delivery. Canon ships to the majority of the UK and Northern Ireland, but there are some postcode restrictions - check the brand's website for more details.

What is Canon Repeat & Save?

Canon Repeat & Save is Canon's ink reordering scheme, which lets you save money on repeat orders of printer consumables. To get started, head to the dedicated page on the brand's site. You'll be able to choose your ink or toner cartridges, select how many you want to order and how often, and then you'll be able to place your order. Prices will be 5% cheaper than usual, with savings adding up in the long run, and you can cancel or amend your order any time if your needs change.

Does Canon offer a warranty?

Canon products have a two-year guarantee as standard. This protects you against manufacturing defects and other unexpected repair bills. Some printers also now offer a three-year extended warranty as standard so double check which warranty you get with your printer purchase. It also has a 30-day returns policy in which you can return a purchase free of charge and for a full refund.

What is the Canon returns policy?

Should you decide you want to send your Canon order back to the brand, you can do so within 30 days of receiving your items to receive a full refund (so long as items come back in and in resaleable condition - undamaged, unused and in their original packaging - with all included documentation and accessories). Just email the brand's team to initiate a request and they'll post you a prepaid label to attach to the packaging to cover the cost of returns shipping.

Canon Saving tips

Shop the seasonal sales

Canon often runs sales around major holidays such as Black Friday, Christmas, back to school season, Easter, and other key periods. What it stocks in those sales can change depending on the time of year: for example, printers are often on sale during back to school season, while cameras are more likely on sale as part of Black Friday.

Here at TechRadar, we keep a close eye on the latest sales on cameras and other Canon products, updating this page to include any new deals as and when we find them. If you want to see the best of seasonal sales, bookmark this page and come back around the holidays for the best chance to save.

Consider refurbished

If you don't need 100% brand new items, Canon sells a range of refurbished devices, including mirrorless, DSLR, and compact cameras, at discounted rates compared to buying new. We've seen the usual price of refurbished items be up to 20% lower than buying new, plus the brand regularly runs limited-time promotions to knock an extra 10% off.

All refurbished products have been extensively inspected, tested and restored by the brand to ensure the best quality possible, and each item is also covered by the usual two-year warranty, protecting you from faults and defects so you know you aren't sacrificing on quality.

Look for bundle offers

Canon often has deals on cameras where you save money on a related lens. These differ throughout the year but it's worth seeing what's out there, especially if you're flexible about what you plan on buying. With lenses potentially costing a huge sum, the savings can add up a bit either through direct price cuts or cashback offers.

Such bundles can also reap savings on backpacks for your camera, SD cards, and other accessories that soon add up if bought individually. Bundles can appear once you've added a camera or printer to your basket with a suggestion of what else you might want to buy.

Get a student discount

Canon offers students exclusive offers on qualifying products, with 10% off cameras, lenses, printers, camcorders, ink, toner, paper & accessories when you verify via UNiDAYS. To get started, just sign in to your UNiDAYS acccount to prove your eligibility. Once logged in, you'll gain access to the student deals portal, where you'll be able to browse all discounted products and start placing orders.

Sign up for the newsletter

Want to stay up to date with the latest Canon news? Look no further than the brand's own newsletter. You can sign up free through the text field in the footer of the website to start receiving regular emails. As well as updates on new product launches and handy tips to help you get the most out of your tech, you'll also receive the occasional offer to help you save on future orders.

How we source voucher codes

At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.

How we test voucher codes

Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.

The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.

What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work

We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.

Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.

How we make money

All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.

If you want to find out more about TechRadar’s voucher pages, you can visit our dedicated page on How We Source Voucher Codes and How to Use Them for more information.
