Anthony Knockaert has spoken of his delight at linking up again with man of the moment Glenn Murray for Nottingham Forest.
The duo, who both worked under Reds boss Chris Hughton during his time at Brighton and Hove Albion, played key roles in a 3-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
Murray set the visitors on their way with a strike in each half, before Knockaert put the seal on a fine result by bagging Forest’s third.
It was the Fulham loanee’s third goal of the season in the Garibaldi, and made it back-to-back wins for Hughton’s men.
Posting a picture of himself celebrating on Instagram, Knockaert said: “I cannot explain the feeling of scoring. Great team performance. What a pleasure to play with this guy again @gajm83 (Murray).”
Knockaert made the move to the City Ground in October, signing after Hughton had taken charge.
His deal ran out last month but has been extended until the end of the campaign.
His previous goals came in the FA Cup defeat at Swansea City and against Norwich City, when his team lost 2-1.
Teammate Murray was a deadline day arrival earlier this week, penning a short-term deal until the summer as he joined from Brighton.
The result at Adams Park lifted the Reds to 18th in the Championship table, with a home game against Bournemouth to come next weekend.
