A former New York City police officer, dubbed the “cannibal cop” for planning to cook and eat his wife, is looking to date.

The officer, Gilberto Valle, reportedly created a Match.com profile and was looking for a “non-judgmental” woman who is “a little kinky” – until the dating service removed the profile on Wednesday.

The New York Post first reported the profile, saying that when reporters brought Valle evidence of the “AmicableOne14” persona, he said, “I don’t want to see it, thanks,” and scuttled inside his home.

New York media outlets called Valle the “cannibal cop” when in 2012 he was fired from his job and convicted of conspiracy to kidnap and eat his estranged wife. A federal judge overturned his conviction in 2014, calling Valle’s gruesome plans to rape, cook and eat several women “fantasy role-play”. Nonetheless, the judge called Valle’s bizarre online chats reflective of “a mind diseased”.

“AmicableOne14” was looking to meet a “kind” and “generous” woman.

“You’re non-judgmental. You can generally see the good in people and you are kind and generous … You appreciate and laugh at bad jokes,” the profile says. “If this is you, let’s get a cup of coffee.” The profile also highlighted his interest in cooking, bourbon and coffee.

The New York Post cites several personal details about Valle’s life included in the profile as proof that it is Valle’s.

“I am spending my energy rebounding from the errors I made in my past and rebuilding my life,” the Post quoted the profile as saying, perhaps alluding to Valle’s conviction and supervised release. “Things are progressing very well on that front, and I am just beginning a new career.”
