An East Yorkshire bus company has attracted unwanted attention after giving its Facebook cover art a seasonal update.
Hull Live reported that East Yorkshire Buses changed its Facebook cover photo to a new autumnal illustration depicting one of its vehicles alongside a variety of different leaves.
But the picture, which was uploaded on October 19, has been taken down since users pointed out that some of the most prominent leaves on the design shared a strong resemblance to ones that might be found on a cannabis plant.
An East Yorkshire Buses spokesperson said the leaf images had been taken from a website that provides stock pictures and were supposed to be Japanese maple leaves.
The spokesperson continued: "We wouldn’t want people to misinterpret it, though, so we’ve now changed the image to a more generic one."
