Cannabis worth an estimated €60,000 has been seized after it was discovered in a park in north Dublin yesterday.
The drugs were found in Darndale Park by gardai investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Santry area.
Three large bags were discovered in three large bags hidden along a hedgerow in the park.
Gardai said no arrests have been made but a definite line of enquiry is being followed.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Santry District area of Dublin have discovered and seized €60,000 worth of cannabis herb following a search of Darndale Park, Dublin 17, carried out on 31/05/2020.
"Members from the Divisional Crime Task Force Santry assisted by uniform members from Coolock carried out the searches and discovered three large bags containing cannabis herb (pending analysis) hidden along a hedgerow in the park.
"No arrests have been made at this stage however Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry."
