A cannabis cultivation has been discovered in a Kilmarnock flat today after neighbours were flooded.
Emergency services raced to James Little Street this afternoon and had to burst down the door of one of the properties on the top floor.
After smashing a hole in one of the panels of the front door, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service then drafted in the police after making the discovery.
It's been claimed that fully-matured plants were found in every room of the house and could be as tall as 5ft.
The massive flood has made the properties below unsafe to live in, a source told Ayrshire Live, after water was reportedly pouring through the ceiling.

It's also been claimed that shops on the ground floor which face on to High Glencairn Street have been forced to close early this afternoon.

Police confirmed the plants have yet to be removed from the flat and they remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a property at James Little Street, Kilmarnock around 3.10 pm on Monday, September 20, following the discovery of cannabis plants.
"The plants have yet to be removed from the property and police remain at the scene.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.56pm on Monday, September 20 to reports of flooding at a property on James Little Street, Kilmarnock.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance and crews are currently still in attendance.”
