Cannabis oil cocktail bar opening in Glasgow soon

There’s a new cocktail bar opening in Glasgow soon - but it’s unlike anything you’ve seen in the city before.

Glaswegians mourned the loss of Panther Milk, the city’s ‘hidden bar’, in September, bringing to an end years of showing off to your pals that you knew the coolest place in town.

Now the unit, on Mitchell Lane and accessible via bar and restaurant Tabac, will be given a new lease of life soon; as a CBD cocktail bar.

Marco Lazzurri, the man behind Tabac, told Glasgow Live: “We have been working on the cocktails for a while now, experimenting with sugar gomme or drops to infuse the drinks with CBD oil.

“I decided to give the old Panther Milk venue a new layout too, in the style of a grow room, and a neon sign of a hemp leaf will mark the spot where the old Panther Milk sign was, inviting people in.”

CBD (Cannabidiol) does not have the same psychoactive effects as the cannabis plant from which it’s extracted, although it has become popular recently for a variety of uses.

The opening date for the new bar has yet to be announced - but you could be sipping on CBD cocktails very soon.

Watch this space for a sneak preview of the new cocktail spot as Glasgow Live goes behind the scenes in the coming weeks.

The unusual opening will be the second addition to city centre bar Tabac in recent weeks, with an extension next door providing a new wine bar too, specialising in vegan, organic and bio dynamic drinks by the glass - so you don’t need to shell out for an expensive bottle to try something new. It opens on December 6.
