Cannabis found growing in pots alongside watering cans and compost in rural village field

Police are investigating after “suspicious looking plants” caught the eye of two officers as they were walking through a Welsh village.

Dyfed-Powys Police received a tip-off from a member of the public that potential drug activity was taking place in St Dogmaels, Pembrokeshire.

Officers attended the village last week and were conducting enquiries at an address when they spotted the plants in a field.

They seized a number of plants along with other equipment.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are investigating a cannabis cultivation discovered in a field in St Dogmaels.

“A number of cannabis plants in pots were discovered by a member of the public and reported to police. Watering cans and compost were also located nearby.

“All were seized by officers and enquiries are on-going.”

Anyone with any information that could assist in the investigation is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police by calling 101.
