POLICE have charged seven men after two cannabis farms worth more than £1.7 million were uncovered in Aberdeen.
The first bust took place on Friday, August 22 on Dee Street and saw a huge drugs operation worth an estimated £1.3m discovered.
On Monday, August 25, a second raid, this time on a property on Union Street, uncovered a cannabis farm worth around £419,000, officers said.
Four men, aged 30, 35, 35, and 40, were arrested and charged in connection with the first bust. They were due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
Three men, aged 21, 35 and 36, were arrested and charged in connection with the second farm discovered. They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Andrew Machray said: “These significant recoveries highlight our commitment to disrupting drug-related crime in our communities. It also reinforces our ongoing commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
