Cannabis farm worth nearly £270k seized as Scots cops launch manhunt

A manhunt has been launched after cops seized a massive cannabis farm worth nearly £270k in Hamilton.

Officers swooped on two properties on Quarry Street on Monday, April 26, after receiving intelligence about potential drugs within.

They discovered the sizable haul, which they say has a potential street value of around £269,400.

Enquiries remain ongoing to trace the people responsible for it.

Constable John Tennyson from Larkhall Police Station said: “This was a significant recovery and enquiries are ongoing to trace the person or persons responsible.

“Drugs can have a devastating impact on communities and we would continue to encourage members of the public to support our efforts to tackle this issue.

“Any intelligence received about drugs activity will be thoroughly investigated and information can be reported to Police Scotland through 101.

“Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
