Cannabis farm found after fire breaks out in early hours in property

A cannabis farm has been discovered in a property after a fire broke out.

Fire crews were called to Moston Lane, in Moston, following a blaze at KHF Solicitors and a flat on Monday morning.

Nobody was in either property at the time and there are no reports of any injuries.

Officers attended and found the cannabis farm in a residential property.

Greater Manchester Police are investigating and appealing for anyone with further information to come forward.

Firefighters and police were called to the scene on Moston Lane (ASP)

No arrests have been made.

Fire crews extinguished the blaze and left the scene at around 6.30am.

Images shared from the scene show the exterior of the building blackened by the flames.

A spokeswoman for GMP said: "At around 3.50am on Monday, March 16, 2020, police were called by the fire service to reports of a fire at a property on Moston Lane, Manchester.

"Officers attended and discovered a cannabis farm.

"An investigation is underway.

"No arrests have been made."
