Cannabis farm so big it took five days to dismantle
An enormous cannabis farm discovered at a Bootle warehouse proved to be so big it took police officers five days to dismantle it.
Officers found the huge operation, made up of more than 5,000 cannabis plants, sprawled across 23 rooms.
Matt Brown, who leads Merseyside Police's specialist Cannabis Dismantling Team (CDT) said: “We’ve been on the scene since Saturday, which gives an idea of the scale of this industrial-scale cannabis operation, one of the biggest we have ever investigated in Merseyside.

“This volume of cannabis caused huge fire and flood risks, and we know that the onward supply of cannabis and all illegal drugs leads to violent crime across Merseyside and beyond."

Liverpool Women's Hospital security update after terror attack

An update on security at Liverpool Women's Hospital has been issued following Sunday's terror attack.
The UK's terror threat level has been raised to "severe" following the bomb blast at Liverpool Women's Hospital - meaning an attack is deemed to be "highly likely".
NHS Liverpool and Knowsley Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) have said security has been bumped up at the hospital following the attack to "reassure, staff patients and visitors."
Services at the hospital remain open and access to the site has not changed.

Vigilantes batter and stamp on flasher in park

Vigilantes left a sunbather seriously injured after he had been seen indecently exposing himself.
After hearing that a little girl was among those who had seen the man exposing his genitals three men rushed to the scene and attacked him.
The sunbather told how he left the area on his bicycle but a “Range Rover type” vehicle passed him and blocked him in by a barrier. Hostile men were shouting and screaming and he had no escape route.
