Cannabis factory found in Mumbai Village, Morley, as police lockdown Indian takeaway restaurant

Police have confirmed the discovery of a cannabis farm inside a popular Leeds takeaway restaurant.

Morley's Mumbai Village in Dawson House, Dawson Hill, has been the focus of police activity today with two cars seen at the scene with four officers going in and out of the premises.

Speculation had been rife as to the nature of the call out with the restaurant wrapped in a police cordon and a spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed to LeedsLive that a cannabis factory has been found at the premises.

The restaurant remains taped and a police van is blocking the entrance from Dawson Hill.

The spokesman for the force added force added enquiries are still ongoing with a noticeable police presence expected into Wednesday afternoon.
