Cannabis factory discovered by police at Skewen property

A cannabis factory has been discovered by police at a property in Skewen.

Officers from South Wales Police found around 100 cannabis plants while carrying out a drugs warrant on Drummau Road.

The force's neighbourhood policing team in Skewen carried out the "positive drugs warrant" in the Neath Abbey area on Monday afternoon.

Officers explained that the warrant was carried out following information from members of the public.

In a tweet, officers said: "Skewen neighbourhood policing team have conducted a positive drugs warrant in the Neath Abbey area of Skewen.

"Numerous cannabis plants located. Enquiries ongoing.

"Warrant wouldn't have been possible without information provided by the public."

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police added: "The warrant was executed yesterday afternoon in Drummau Road and around 100 cannabis plants were located.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
