Cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, alcohol and four gold bars seized in Inchicore raid

A cocktail of drugs with an estimated value of around €15,000 have been seized along with four gold bars following a raid of a residence in Inchicore on Thursday.

Gardai attached to the South Central Divisional Drugs Unit based at Kevin Street Garda Station also over 200 bottles of expensive alcohol.

The drugs seized included cannabis herb, cocaine and a quantity of MDMA. The elements of a cannabis grow house was also seized.

A garda spokeswoman said: "A large amount of cash was also seized in the house and four 50g gold bars to the value of €10,000 were also seized.

Over 200 bottles of alcohol were also seized (An Garda Siochana)

"A substantial quantity of alcohol (in excess of 200 bottles of high value wines and spirits) were seized which are collectively estimated to be worth approximately €20,000.

"A man (early 30s) was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station."

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
