Canisters used to syphon fuel ditched near A1 in Nottinghamshire as offenders 'made off on quads'

Trailers and equipment used to syphon fuel were ditched near a busy carriageway as the alleged offenders 'made off on their quads'. The fuel cans were found by officers who were out patrolling near the A1 and Blyth services.

Officers from the Nottinghamshire Policing Unit were recently carrying out proactive patrols in the area when they discovered the fuel cans. The force said that the alleged offender ditched their trailers with containers and made off on their quads after spotting the National Police Service.

Nottinghamshire Rural Police officers have issued a warning on social media shortly after 8am on Saturday, December 17. They described the incident, and attached a photo of their discovery.
